Wente
Vineyards Wine Tasting and Dinner
Staying
true to the Bay Area tradition, we will host our
welcome dinner on Friday at the world-renowned
Wente
Vineyards, which is only a few miles from
Marriott Pleasanton. Founded more than 125 years
ago, Wente Vineyards is the country's
oldest, continuously operated family-owned
winery. Today, the winery maintains its leadership
role in California wine growing under ownership
and management by the fourth and fifth Generations
of the Wente family. Blending traditional and
innovative wine making practices, the winery draws
from approximately 3,000 acres of sustainable
farmed estate vineyards to create an outstanding
portfolio of fine wines. Located just east of
San Francisco in the historic Livermore Valley,
Wente Vineyards is recognized as one of California's
premier wine country destinations, featuring wine
tasting, fine dining and championship golf.
The evening will start off with private
wine-tasting at a beautiful spot overlooking the
18th hole of this famous golf course. You will
have the opportunity to sample a few of the best
private selections offered by Wente, brought to
you by the vineyard's own wine-specialists. You
will then enjoy a buffet dinner at the same beautiful
location with plenty of opportunity to mingle
as we witness the breathtaking California sunset
under the backdrop of this beautiful Wente vineyard
and golf course.
